Pregnant & Strong gym-based Workshop (Clapham Junction)
Date & Time: Saturday 11th July 2-4pm

Coaches Iona and Hayley, pre- and postnatal specialist personal trainers & nutritionists
Join us for this 2-hour gym-based workshop focusing on positive and fearless preparation for pregnancy, birth and beyond. Both Iona and Hayley, mums themselves, feel passionately about breaking down the barriers to training in pregnancy, educating women about optimal core and pelvic floor training, nutritional gaps to consider from a prenatal registered nutritionist, as well as working with women to understand more about how they can feel mentally and physically strong and prepared for birth. The workshop will be a chance to meet other pregnant women, ask questions from our expert coaches, and share lived experiences - something so important at this time. We are here to dispel myths and cut through the noise of the pregnancy space with evidence-based knowledge and expertise - and hope you leave the session feeling empowered and confident to move your body at this time.
The workshop will include:
Preparing and supporting our changing bodies for pregnancy, labour & postpartum recovery - including strengthening key muscle groups & relaxation techniques & breathwork.
A deep dive into the pelvic floor and the importance of this working efficiently during pregnancy and beyond, including how to activate, engage, and coordinate (something we know many women struggle with).
Positive and fear-free birth conversations and preparation through movement and mindset.
Education and support around optimally training your core in pregnancy and the importance of this.
Guidance for nutrition in pregnancy, including common nutritional gaps, and the benefit for mum & baby in optimising levels + affiliate discount code for practitioner grade supplements.
Modifications to key movement patterns, including using resistance and weights to support our changing bodies.
Using holistic tools, such as breathwork, to support your mental health and help you connect body and mind.

Teach the importance of mobility and control in training and how this can support you during your pregnancy journey

Any trimester welcome - we will modify for where you are at in your journey.
