Exercise and fertility
Nutrition plays an important role in the overall fertility picture, but it’s only one part of it. Regular strength training and cardiovascular exercise also have a powerful positive impact on overall health and wellbeing. When combined, a balanced diet with a wide range of nutrients and a well-structured, thoughtfully programmed exercise plan can significantly enhance fertility outcomes.
Body composition, optimal sleep habits & stress management, are proven to contribute to fertility and improve the odds of conception..
The NHS guidelines for all adults is to include strength training that focuses on all the major muscle groups (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms) twice per week, as well as at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity, or 75 minutes of vigorous intensity activity.
